Alice "New Moon" Action Figure Product Review
I got the NECA "New Moon" Alice 7" action figure at the recent Twilight Convention in San Francisco (about $19 retail). Both my daughter and I like Alice as a character, and we thought she'd be a good "friend" for our Bella 7" action figure. Just in case you're looking to buy Alice or one of the other "New Moon" action figures, here's my review of this Twilight product:
Pros
Alice matches our other 7" action figures nicely (Bella, Edward, and Jacob), and is quite durable to play with. (Yes, I know she's a collectible.) The details and overall quality of the product are very high. Her hair and clothes, which are made of some soft plastic material, are pliable and can move slightly. Alice is also slightly poseable--her head, arms, and wrists can rotate, plus her waist and one ankle can rotate/wiggle a bit. Alice can stand on her own, but you have to pose her a bit to balance her.
As a bonus, there's a great information sheet included with the product. It shows a background image of Alice from "New Moon", as well as the following text:
"How strongly are you opposed to grand theft auto?"
Full Name: Mary Alice Brandon Cullen
Status: Vampire
Date of Birth: Around 1901
Date of Transformation: 1920s
Special Abilities: Can see the future unless werewolves are directly involved in the events
Cons
Alice doesn't look very girlish or very happy. Even my daughter wonders why Alice is wearing a boy's tie. Apparently, the "flappy" tie gets in the way when my daughter tries to dress Alice in Barbie clothes.
Overall, I give this product 4.5 out of 5 stars.
