Since we had already made the Bella's Dream centerpiece (and won the Twilight Centerpiece contest at the San Francisco convention back in February), we wanted to make another scene, this time from Eclipse. The tent scene, with Bella, Edward, Jacob, and Seth (in wolf form) seemed like the perfect choice.

How we made our Eclipse Centerpiece
Here is how Twi-K and I made our Eclipse centerpiece that we displayed at the Volturi Vampire Ball at the Eclipse Convention in Los Angeles.

Alma-Marie's Review of the LA Eclipse Convention (part 3)
Volturi Vampire Ball Photos
Twi-K and I bought the Cullen Crest A package, which included the Friday Night Gala Volturi Vampire Ball. Twi-K dressed up as Victoria from Eclipse, and I dressed up as Rosalie from New Moon (in the black dress from Bella's birthday party). We also made a centerpiece of the tent scene from Eclipse.

Alma Marie's Review of LA Eclipse Convention (part 1)
First, I want to thank Creation Entertainment for the outstanding job they did on this Eclipse Convention! Everything about the convention (except for a few problems with the sound system) was well done, professional, and very user-friendly. Now for my review and photos.
Overall
The hotel (Hyatt Regency Century City) was very nice to stay in, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. The decorations for the main ballroom, vendor area, and Vampire Ball were all very upscale and attractive. Twi-K and I still had money left over from our gift certificate for winning the Twilight Centerpiece contest in San Francisco back in February, so we had fun spending our money in the Vendors area. Our room was clean and roomy, and had a nice view of downtown Century City (and the local mall).
Registration
We had no trouble registering for our Cullen Crest A weekend passes. We received an Eclipse lanyard and a purple bracelet that allowed us into all of the events.
Hillywood Hosts
As usual, I enjoyed watching the Hillywood cast hosting the event and the Volturi Vampire Ball. It was also fun to watch their Twilight and New Moon parodies. It was cool to learn that they used Scottie's Castle in Death Valley as the location for Volterra. And it was very cool to see Hillywood Jasper meet movie Jasper!
Here are a few photos from the weekend to get started. I'll add more details later in another post (part 2). Enjoy!

Buying Rosalie-style Clothing for Eclipse Convention
I'm not much of a shopper for clothes, but I just spent the past few days shopping for clothes to dress up like Rosalie for the upcoming Eclipse Convention in LA, and I've had a blast!
It helps that Rosalie wears some elegant and dressy clothing (especially her shoes) and my husband totally supports my quest for the perfect Rosalie costume. He's actually become an expert in Rosalie's style! :-)
So far, I've bought enough clothes and accessories for three Rosalie outfits: the outfit with the long scarf she wore in the cafeteria scene in Twilight, the black dress she wore to Bella's birthday party in New Moon, and her outfit from the Eclipse promotional photos.

I think I prefer the black party dress for the Volturi Vampire Ball, but the other two outfits are so nice, I'd like to keep them all (especially the shoes)!
Rosalie's shoes from the Cafeteria scene in Twilight:

Rosalie's shoes from Bella Birthday Party scene in New Moon:

I'll let you know when I've made my final decision (I'm still waiting for my online orders to arrive) on which costume I'll wear at the convention.
Update: Click here to see which Rosalie costume I chose to wear to the Ball and how I put it together.
Countdown: 14 days until the Eclipse Convention in Los Angeles, and 33 days until Eclipse!

LA Convention Update
So I have been looking through many many photos and I think I might be changing my mind on what I want to wear to the Ball. The Victoria Doll's outfit is not Bally enough so I think I am going to look for an outfit she wore with Riley. A black lace top with black jeans and boots. The other outfit would work for the costume contest maybe. I guess I will be doing more shopping! I did find the Boots she wore.
We got our tickets today! I need to look at them more closely to find out where our seats our. As long as we can see Rob, Kristen and Taylor good that is all that matters!

More Getting Ready for LA Convention
I'm also excited about going with Twi-K to the Eclipse Convention in LA! While Twi-K is going to dress as Victoria, I'm going to dress as Rosalie.
So far, I've purchased Rosalie's necklace, and later this evening I'm planning to buy some Rosalie-style clothes and shoes.

Also, I'd like to enter another centerpiece for the contest at the Volturi Vampire Ball, and I'm thinking of re-creating the Barbie tent scene from my video.
As I start to put together my wardrobe and centerpiece, I'll share them with you.
43 days and counting to Eclipse!

Getting Ready for LA Convention
So I went shopping for my Victoria Costume for the LA Twilight Convention and I think I did pretty well. Thanks to Alma Marie for sending me the Victoria Barbie Photo so I knew what I was looking for. After shopping mall stores and not finding what I needed I ended up at Goodwill. I found some great things. I found 2 jackets that I am trying to decide on. The dolls outfit it suede and I did find a suede jacket but it is not the right color. The other one I found is corduroy that I think I can dye to the color I need. I will let you know what I decided on. I will have some other changing and adding to do, that I hope my friend Carleen will help with. I better get started, it will be here before I know it. I will keep everyone updated on my progress.

LA Eclipse Convention!
So Alma Marie and I are going to The Eclipse Convention in Los Angeles June 11th - 13th and WE ARE SO EXCITED! Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner will be there!!!
I wanted to share our experience with everyone. Everything from what to wear, where to go, what to do. So the first thing we got our tickets. This was a big decision. There are different packages you can buy. We ended up getting Cullen Crest Group A. In Group A you get tickets for all 3 days, Vampire Ball - Friday (group B's Ball is Sunday), Karaoke Concert, and lots of other great stuff.
For the Ball I am going to dress up like Victoria. I am going to go shopping to see if I can find an outfit just like the Barbie Victoria Doll. I will let you know what I find and tell you a little more about our plans.
