Alma-Marie's Photos from Relay for Life

Twi-K and I just finished our Relay for Life 24-hour event, and it was awesome!

So many people came out to celebrate life, remember those we lost to cancer, and raise funds to fight cancer so that some day, no one will ever have to hear "You've got cancer." The whole event, and all the people who participated in it, were totally inspiring!

As I mentioned in a previous post, Twi-K came up with a very cool theme, "Eclipse Cancer." She decorated our camp site and sold cool ribbons and fangs to help raise funds for the American Cancer Society. A few participants also got their photos taken with Edward, Jacob, and Bella (the cardboard version of them, not the real people). Great job, Twi-K!

We each wore an "Eclipse Cancer" ribbon:

Relay for Life event tomorrow--Eclipse Cancer!

Twi-K and I will be participating in a Relay for Life event tomorrow. Relay For Life is a fundraiser that benefits the American Cancer Society. It is a 24-hr event walkathon where members form teams and take turns walking around a track.

Twi-K came up with a Twilight theme for our team this year--"Eclipse Cancer!" We'll be decorating our team's tent site with some very cool Eclipse decorations.

I plan to take lots of photos of this event and our cool Twilight-themed tent site and post them here. Check back soon!
