How I put together my Rosalie Costume for the Ball

Here's how I put together my Rosalie costume for the Volturi Vampire Ball at the LA Eclipse Convention back in June.

First, I looked at Rosalie's clothing from Twilight, New Moon, and the Eclipse previews (Eclipse hadn't been released in theaters yet.) I chose Rosalie's black dress from Bella's birthday party scene in New Moon.

To copy this look, I needed a black dress, black shoes, Rosalie's pendant necklace, earrings, and dressy vampire makeup.

I found an adjustable-length black dress (Evanese adjustable jersey tube dress) from Overstock.com.

It had adjustable side straps to pull the skirt up on the sides, which is similar to the style Rosalie wore, where the hem of her dress is shorter at the front. This dress was strapless, but Rosalie's dress had spaghetti straps, so I wore a black top with straps underneath my dress.

I found the "Victoria" black shoes (5 1/4 inch heels with 1 1/4 inch platform) at the Bakers shoe store. Even though the shoes were very tall, they fit very comfortably and weren't too bad to walk in. (Thanks, hubby, for helping me choose these gorgeous shoes!)

By the way, I was really excited to see that Ashley Greene (who plays Alice) wore the same Victoria shoes (in Blush color) to the LA Eclipse Convention. She has great taste!

I ordered Rosalie's Cullen pendant necklace from amazon.com.

I found some nice black chandelier earrings from Charlotte Russe.

I bought the Twilight Volturi Makeup Kit from Hot Topic (which is no longer in stock.) I used the darker lip gloss, allover shimmer, and purple eyeshadow for a really pretty effect.

...and here's the final result...me in my Rosalie costume at the Volturi Vampire Ball!

Alma-Marie's Review of the LA Eclipse Convention (part 3)

Volturi Vampire Ball Photos
Twi-K and I bought the Cullen Crest A package, which included the Friday Night Gala Volturi Vampire Ball. Twi-K dressed up as Victoria from Eclipse, and I dressed up as Rosalie from New Moon (in the black dress from Bella's birthday party). We also made a centerpiece of the tent scene from Eclipse.

My Search for the Perfect Rosalie Costume!

As you know, I'm planning to dress up as Rosalie Hale for the upcoming Eclipse Convention in LA on June 11th-13th. But I'm having some trouble finding the costume.

So far, I've bought Rosalie's necklace for $32.99 from Amazon.com. It's a good start--the necklace is fairly recognizable (at least to us Twilight fans).

I've also been looking for a long-sleeved, dressy low v-neck jacket or cardigan, but all the current styles are cropped or short-sleeved. Maybe I'll have to check out some second-hand clothing stores for last years' fashions.

I wish I could find some full-length photos of Rosalie, so I can see what shoes or boots she wears. There's a great casual photo of her from Eclipse...

... but I'm looking for a dressy outfit to wear to the Ball. If you've see any good full-length photos of Rosalie online (especially from Eclipse), would you please send me the link?

LA Eclipse Convention!

So Alma Marie and I are going to The Eclipse Convention in Los Angeles June 11th - 13th and WE ARE SO EXCITED! Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner will be there!!!

I wanted to share our experience with everyone. Everything from what to wear, where to go, what to do. So the first thing we got our tickets. This was a big decision. There are different packages you can buy. We ended up getting Cullen Crest Group A. In Group A you get tickets for all 3 days, Vampire Ball - Friday (group B's Ball is Sunday), Karaoke Concert, and lots of other great stuff.

For the Ball I am going to dress up like Victoria. I am going to go shopping to see if I can find an outfit just like the Barbie Victoria Doll. I will let you know what I find and tell you a little more about our plans.
