Twilight Lexicon has a great article on where Twilight fans are located and what age groups have the most twihards. I am surprised on what it reveals. California is low on the list.

My Breaking Dawn Opening Night Experience
I have sat in front of my computer over and over to write my review and I just sit here thinking of what I am going to write. I have so much to talk about I just can not get it out. I was so excited to finally see Breaking Dawn I think I focused to much on what I wanted to see and how they were going to do it that I did not get to really enjoy it. Do not get me wrong I very much loved the movie, just like any Twilight fan would, but I want to review it for real and not off the high of the excitement. So I think I want to wait until I see it again before I give my review. Otherwise I will just be telling you it was the greatest movie ever to be made and how I would not change a thing. So instead of my review I am going to tell you about my night.
I was going to see Twilight Saga Breaking Dawn Part 1 (That is a mouth full) with 4 friends. Two of them have read the books and have seen the movies and two of them have just seen the movies (and maybe read 1 or 2 of the books). We were going to see the marathon starting at 4pm. Unfortunately we all had to work and were going to get there at different times. The movie was sold out and we were hearing about the lines forming as early as 10 am. I was getting nervous so I call my husband and was telling him about it and was joking that he needed to stand in line for us. When he said he would I could not believe it!
When he got there about 12pm he said there was about 40 people in line. He got to talking with some of the people and they could not believe he was doing this for me. He was not even going to see the movie. Every new person that got in line was told about how wonderful he was for doing this. He was kind of a celebrity.
At about 2:15pm they started to hand out wristband, but you had to show you ticket stub. The manager came over and told my husband (by the way his name is EDWARD..... well Ed) he could stay there until they start letting in at 3pm. That should have worked because we were going to be able to get there around 2:45pm. But of course they started letting in early! We got there right after my husband had to get out of line. UGH! It ended up working out ok. There was 5 seats by themselves in the last row. We were kind of by ourselves and had lots of room. We were going to see the movie again (and again and again) so I am sure we are going to see it at many different angles.
I was hoping the movie theater was going to do a little more then they did. A few minutes before the movie they had a few trivia questions and later they were selling the shirts. They did have a Twilight souvenir cup for $2 with $1 refills for the rest of the night, so that was a good deal.
It was not like opening nights in the past with fans dressed up as their favorite characters or with their home made shirts. Not everyone was even wearing Twilight gear. I was wearing my TwightFamily Shirt and had a few people ask about it. That was kind of nice. If you were one of them and you are reading this please leave a comment and let me know. I do have great Twilight give-a-ways for you!
There were a few guys that I am sure there girlfriends dragged there, but mostly the same
twi-hards that usually come out. We had about 30-40 minutes between each movie. It was pretty mellow. There was the normal woos when Edward or Jacob came on screen. There was a little more noise when Breaking dawn started but overall I wish there was more. Maybe next year TwightFamily could sponsor the "Party" with Fun Trivia, games and prizes. We will have to look in to this.
One friend made a great goodie bag with cool twilight stuff and candy so we could be all sugared up. (thanks Tif!!) On one side of me I had one of my friends reciting Twilight word for word and one acting out some scenes, I had to shush them a few times. On the other side were my 2 friends that have not read Breaking Dawn yet. That was weird. ( there are people that do not know what happens?) But very cool I was able to give them insights from the book. I also got to tell them cool things we have seen and learned at conventions and interviews over the years.
After the movies at about 2:10am we talked a little about our favorite parts but we all have to get home. I want to Thanks Carleen, Wendy, Vanessa and Tiffany for coming with me and making it such a great night. I kind of bought the tickets and said you are going, but I know they would not have missed it for the world.
Until next time. and I can not wait to hear Alma Marie's review!

Breaking Dawn Stuff at Hot Topic
I'm going to see Breaking Dawn at midnight tonight!! (Yay!!) Of course, I had to buy a few things to wear to the movie.
So I went shopping at our local Hot Topic store. They had lots of merchandise for Breaking Dawn, including tea shirts, blankets and pillow cases, calendars, jewelry, bookmarks, fridge magnets, key chains, and of course, the soundtrack.
As a bonus, if you buy the Breaking Dawn tea shirt (which I did for $22.50 US), you get a free lanyard with Edward or Jacob on it (I chose Edward.)
Also, for every $25 you spend on Breaking Dawn merchandise, you get a replica invitation to Bella and Edward's wedding (aww...) I bought Bella's hair comb (for $28 US) and got 2 invitations for my total purchase (which was just over $50.)
Here's what I bought (Breaking Dawn tea shirt and Bella's hair comb:)
And here's the free stuff that I got (their wedding invitation and an Edward lanyard with a charm:)

Volvo Breaking Dawn commercial "Drive Happily Ever After"
Volvo finally realized their potential customers in the Twilight Saga fans. After all, if the Cullen family members drive Volvos, then so should we!
Here's a fun commercial for the Volvo S60 R-Design (Edward's car), welcoming you "to drive happily ever after."
Note: Watch carefully as Bella and Edward drive away from their Wedding Reception. I can see Carlisle and Esme, but where are the father and mother of the bride?

More video preview of the entire Twilight Saga from Facebook
There are 17 more days until Breaking Dawn Part 1 hits the local theater, and the suspense is killing me! Luckily, we're getting plenty of video teasers to keep up the excitement, without giving too much away.
From the Twilight Saga page on Facebook, here's a video clip of all the movies leading up to Breaking Dawn Part 1, with some exclusive interview footage from the stars.
Enjoy!
